Dermaplane treatments last about 20-30 minutes. The area to be treated will be cleaned, and then sterile blade will be used to gently exfoliate your skin. No anesthesia is needed. The sloughed off skin cells and "peach fuzz" will be gently wiped away at the end of the procedure – revealing a fresh, vibrant skin surface.

Dermaplane treatments can be combined with chemical peels, or laser treatments. By removing the outermost layer of the epidermis, a dermaplane treatment then allows whatever rejuvenating treatment that follows it to have a deeper and more long-lasting effect. At PRIVÉ we recommend that every laser treatment be preceded by a microdermabrasion or dermaplane treatment for optimal results.

Regular use of dermaplane treatments can improve or eliminate superficial skin problems. It works on all skin types and colors to produce subtle changes, causing no skin color change or scarring. However, it is not effective for problems such as stretch marks, keloids (an overgrowth of scar tissue at the site of a healed skin injury), reducing wrinkles, or deep acne scars. Laser Genesis treatments and medical grade chemical peels are far more effective in the treatment of these conditions.
